Humans Are Also Part of Nature
I heard that "nature can heal itself if human not bother it", so what is humans role in wilderness ? I suggest that we carry only the best parts of modern life toward the goal of preserving and restoring wilderness as the existential context of our being. Nature is capable of healing itself. It can be encouraged to do so while humans are still present on the planet, or we can wait and let it do so after our species goes extinct which—at the current pace of change—might not take very long. We have a rightful place and role in wilderness, as a "keystone species," that enriches the diversity of life on Earth, if we nestle our social units into a self-managing natural order, and acknowledge that we can only positively affect a tiny fraction of wild nature.
